Ann Curry
Ann Curry was born in the US and works as a photographer and journalist. Since more than 45 years she has focused on documenting human suffering, primarily during war and natural catastrophes. Curry covered the conflicts within Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo, and Central African Republic. After graduating from University of Oregon, Curry received a bachelor degree in journalism degree in the year 1978. Ashland is where she completed high school. Her path to an enviable career after she began her career in broadcasting by working as an intern for KTVL Channel 10 in Medford Oregon. She later became the first female news reporter at the station at the age of 22. After that, she moved to anchoring and reporting for KGW the NBC affiliate station located in Portland. After moving to Los Angeles, she became an anchor and reporter for KCBS TV just four years after moving into the city. In the course of her work with the channel for a period of 6 years that she was awarded the two Emmy Awards.
